A person who leaves the Saluda County Detention Center may have entered the community or transferred to another agency. The jail can interpret its own current record, while a focused records request supplies historical documentation.

Saluda County Sheriff

The official Sheriff page names Sheriff Josh Price as of the research date. Use this office for Sheriff services, but route custody and release questions to the detention center's main line.

Saluda County Detention Center

Call the facility with the full name and booking or inmate number when known. Ask whether the person remains in Saluda County custody and whether a recorded departure was a community release or transfer. The official detention-center page does not publish a current roster or recent-release list.

County Administration and FOIA

Send a precise request for an existing booking-and-release record through Saluda County Administration and the county's FOIA form and policy. Identify the Saluda County Detention Center, person, booking episode, desired fields, and preferred electronic format. The posted fees are $11.72 per hour for search or copy labor, $0.25 per paper page, and actual cost for special reproduction or supplies. Verify the fee schedule before relying on it.

For a lower-court release order or bond matter, the Saluda County Magistrate Court is the direct local route. A court order explains legal authority, while the detention record proves when custody ended.

State Custody and Supervision
